A psychological paradigm known as the Affective Events Theory (AET) explores the complex connection between workplace events, employees' emotions and their subsequent job performance and job satisfaction. This theory which was put forth by organisational psychologists Howard M. Weiss and Russell sheds light on how particular incidents or events at work can cause emotional responses in workers, which in turn affects their attitudes, behaviours and general well-being within the organisation. AET emphasises the need of comprehend and control emotional experiences at work in order to maximise productivity and employee engagement.
