Food chain:

Biomagnification:
It is also known as bioamplification. It increases the concentration of pollutants in the food chain. It occurs when heavy metal or pesticides move in the food chain. An example of biomagnification is industry release pollutants in rivers or lakes. Then phytoplankton eats it. Further aquatic organisms like fish eat phytoplankton. Then fish is eaten by a human. Organisms at the top level in the food chain suffer more as compared to lower levels.
