From the experiment below that you have searched, what are your observation? Please provide 3-5 sentences of your observation in your own words.

Also, question number 1:
Why does the money bill in the burning money experiment is supposed not to burn or become ashes?

D. Burning Money (WARNING!: This includes using a fire, hence you are not required to do this at
home. You can research on the possible result of the experiment.
1. Start by preparing a water-alcohol mixture by combining 50 mL of 70% ethyl alcohol with 50mL of
water. Make sure to stir the mixture thoroughly. If you cannot prepare the exact volume stated, just use
an estimate volume of water and alcohol wherein both are them are in equal amount or the ratio is 1:1.
2. Add one (1) teaspoon of salt in to the mixture and stir again until a uniform solution is obtained.
3. Dip any money bill into the mixture and make sure the bill gets completely soaked. Soak the bill for at
least 15-20 minutes.
4. Remove the bill using any clips/tongs. Go to a place with an open space and ignite the bill . (This a
dangerous procedure, hence this needs an adult supervision).
5. Observe what happens with the bill afterwards.
