PERT stands for Program Evaluation and Review Technique, is basically a management technique or tool, in which the larger projects are broken down to individual jobs or events and are arranged in a logical network. PERT technique has helped management in drastically reducing the project execution time.
A project is composed of many diversified activities which contribute to its completion according to a predetermined schedule. There may be many uncertainties associated with these activities.
