Vant Hoff Factor is the number of ions formed after dissociation
e.g.
NaCl (aq) <-------> Na+ (aq) + Cl- (aq)
In the above example NaCl dissociates as 1 Na+ and 1Cl- ion. thus 2 ions are formed after dissociation.
Hence Vant Hoff factor the NaCl Solution is 2.
