Mean, Median and Mode are the different measures of the central tendency. They are used to find out the values which are centered in the data.

Mean, generally regarded as the most fundamental measure of central tendency is the ratio of sum of all the values in the data to the total number of values in the data. But it does not give an appropriate value if the data has extreme values or outliers.

Median is the middlemost value of the data, once arranged in ascending order. Among the three measures, median is the least affected by outliers.

Mode is most occurring value in the entire data.

Standard deviation, on the other hand, is a measure of dispersion, which is usually used to measure how much the values are spread around the mean of the data.
