DHCP - Dynamic Host Control Protocol is very important protocol for configuring IP addresses of the system which are having transmissions in the network. It allows network to use features like NTP, DNS etc. whenever a request is made to a website with alias name, this request is transferred to DHCP server. The DHCP then allot DNS server, Gateway and other network parameter to the request to establish the connection. Then the alias name is converted to IP Address by DNS server and a route is established. this is how connections are being established today.
