The influence of the Chinese Empire has been immense not just on the political systems of Korea and Japan but also on several parts of the World.
The beginning of the adaptation of Chinese culture in Japan began during the 9th Century when a Japanese delegation visited the regions of China. At this point the Tang dynasty ruled over parts of China, the Japanese were curious to learn and apprehend the success of this dynasty. Historians believe that the Tang dynasty set the rules and basis of the blueprints and simultaneously set the basis for Japan and other nations to establish empires. Similarly, Korea was also influenced by the ideas of the Chinese and adopted the philosophy of Confucianism and Buddhism. The Japanese also adopted these ideas and Philosophy. Apart from these the two also adapted the system on which China initially operated, for instance, the formation of elite classes. Historians believe that Korea and Japan were largely based on the Chinese model of administration. However, certain ambiguity lingered as the two evolved their system of governance. Hence, it led to the modification of certain systems of adaptation for religious regulations. Hence, the Koreans and the Japanese religious reorientation were based on their own choices and they did not adopt these from the Chinese. The Japanese travelers also took inspiration from the monks who visited India and adapted it to their lifestyle.
