Anorexia nervosa is simply known as anorexia, an eating disorder with weight loss, food restriction, strong desire to thin, and fear of gaining weight.

 Different talking therapies are available to treat anorexia. Treatment's aim is to help understand the causes of eating problems and feel more comfortable with food so can begin to eat more and reach a healthy weight.

Therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy - it'll usually be done weekly sessions for up to 40 weeks (9 to 10 months), and 2 sessions a week in the first 2 to 3 weeks. It helping to cope with feelings, understand nutrition and effects of starvation, make healthy food choices.
