Valves of the heart: Hearts have two pairs of valves which helps heart in back flow of blood as well as to direct the blood flow in right direction. These valves open and closes in very coordinated manner. The closure of these valves also produces sound which can be hear by stethoscope. Any abnormality in these functioning of valves can cause severe heart conditions.

Four heart valves are:

  • Bicuspid valve/Mitral valve
  • Tricuspid valve
  • Pulmonic valve
  • Aortic valve
