When it comes to female murderers poison is the way to go- female murderers are much more agile than men murderers. Comparing the cases with the two genders, females can get away with alot of things. I wouldn’t feel any different if the roles were reversed. Gender roles play an important part in the story because they live in a patriarchal society. Lamb to the Slaughter is a 1953 fictional short story by Roald Dahl. To summarize-its a story about domestic violence and betrayal. Mary Maloney kills her husband Patrick Maloney (a police detective) with a leg of a lamb, full of rage because Patrick wanted to leave her and her unborn child. Mary idolizes her husband, she's a literal housewife and so for her to kill her husband makes Patrick have a more feminine role because Mary had all the power. Mary’s whole life is based on male dominance. Female and male murderers differ though should be treated the same because the same crime was committed. We should care about this topic because we still live in a capitalistic society where men are the “superior” gender, which has been proven wrong. I think people should be woke about gender hierarchy and idolization.
