What were the main teachings of the Buddha?
Buddhism, like most of the best religions of the globe, is split into variety of various
traditions. However, most traditions share a typical set of fundamental beliefs.
One central belief of Buddhism is commonly remarked as reincarnation - the concept that a body is reborn after dying. In fact, most people bear many cycles of birth, living, death and rebirth. A practicing Buddhist varies betwixt the concepts of rebirth and reincarnation.
In reincarnation, the people may recur repeatedly. In rebirth, someone doesn't necessarily return to Earth because the same entity ever again. He contrasts it to a leaf growing on a tree. When the withering leaf falls off, a brand new leaf will in the due course replace it. it's the same as the old leaf, but it's not identical to the initial leaf
Buddhism was a philosophy of life expounded by Gautama Buddha ("Buddha" means "enlightened one"), who lived and taught in northern India within the 6th century B.C. Siddhartha wasn't a god and the philosophy of Buddhism doesn't entail any theistic view. The teachings of Gautama Siddhartha are directed solely at liberating sentient beings from suffering.
The pivotal Teachings of Buddha which are core to Buddhism are:
• The Three Universal Truths;
• The Four Noble Truths; and
• The Noble Eightfold Path.
THE THREE UNIVERSAL TRUTHS are
1. Nothing is lost in the universe
2. Everything Changes
3. The Law of Cause and Effect
The Buddha's Four Noble Truths trasverse human suffering. they will be described as:
1. Dukkha: Suffering exists: Life is suffering. Suffering is real and almost universal.
2. Samudaya: there's a reason for suffering. Suffering is thanks to attachment.
3. Nirodha: there's an end to suffering. Attachment will be overcome. Suffering ceases with
the final liberation of Nirvana (Nibbana).
4. Madhyam Marg: so as to finish suffering, you need to follow the Eightfold Path.
