Displacement, Velocity and Acceleration
In classical mechanics, kinematics deals with the motion of a particle. It deals only with the position, velocity, acceleration, and displacement of a particle. It has no concern about the source of motion.
Linear Displacement
The term "displacement" refers to when something shifts away from its original "location," and "linear" refers to a straight line. As a result, “Linear Displacement” can be described as the movement of an object in a straight line along a single axis, for example, from side to side or up and down. Non-contact sensors such as LVDTs and other linear location sensors can calculate linear displacement. Non-contact sensors such as LVDTs and other linear location sensors can calculate linear displacement. Linear displacement is usually measured in millimeters or inches and may be positive or negative.
![Title: Calculating Average Speed
---
**Question:**
What was the average speed in km/h of a car that travels 702 km in 6.2 hours?
---
**Formula for Average Speed:**
\[
\bar{v} = \frac{\text{Total Distance}}{\text{Total Time}}
\]
**Given:**
- Total Distance = 702 km
- Total Time = 6.2 hours
**Desired Output:**
- Average Speed (\(\bar{v}\)) in km/h
---
**Calculation:**
To find the average speed, divide the total distance by the total time. Input the result in the provided box:
\[
\bar{v} = \frac{702 \text{ km}}{6.2 \text{ h}} = \text{[Answer]} \text{ km/h}
\]
**Note:** Replace "\[Answer\]" with the calculated value.](/v2/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcontent.bartleby.com%2Fqna-images%2Fquestion%2F9f62c828-a3be-4a9e-bfeb-9c0130dd0f2c%2F1e26b0ba-2d72-43f5-a87b-ecfa97e01742%2Fa305fu_processed.png&w=3840&q=75)
