Nucleotides are molecules that have a nitrogenous base (Adenine, Thymine, Guanine, Cytosine and Uracil) linked to pentose phosphate(deoxyribose phosphate or ribose phosphate) sugar.
Nucleic acids are polymers of nucleotides. There are two forms of nucleic acid found in nature: DNA and RNA.
Nucleic acids usually form a double helix via Watson-Crick base pairing, that is, Adenine in one strand base pairs with Thymine in the other strand via two hydrogen bonds and Guanine pairs with Cytosine via three hydrogen bonds.
