Question

What three concepts that cab be identified, and considered curious based on the existing questions in a standard diagnostic assessment?

Expert Solution
Answer 1: Control and experiment group research:

Experiment Group: A test sample or the group that receives an experimental method is referred to as an experimental group. This group shows changes in the independent variable being tested. The values of the independent variables, as well as their impact on the dependent variable, are noted. An experiment may have multiple experimental groups at the same time.

Control Group: This is one that is maintained separately from the remainder of the experiment so that the independent variable under investigation has no impact on the outcome in the control group. By isolating the independent variable's impact on the experiment, this helps rule out competing explanations for the experimental data.

Difference between an experimental group and a control group: The only difference between the experimental groups and control groups is that the experimental group's independent variable is altered. The independent variable is "controlled" or maintained constant in the control group.

  • If you're comparing the amount of plant growth between three plants, one gets no fertilizer, one gets a little, and one gets a lot, the plant that gets no fertilizer is the Control Group. The experimental groups will be the plants that get a little bit and the ones that get a lot.
  •  If a firm develops a new drug to treat stomach cramps researchers may only give the medicine to one set of patients. The set of patients that receive the medicine belongs to the experimental group. Control group patients are those who do not receive the medicine and serve as a comparison for the medicine's efficacy in alleviating stomach discomfort.
