1. Bruce Wayne is expanding his company, Wayne Enterprises, and is opening a branch in Denver, CO. He has hired
you to design an optimal IP addressing scheme for his company. The company requires IP addresses for its users
according to the following hierarchy:
• Technology team - 157 users
• Marketing team - 124 users
• Legal team - 31 users
Publicity team - 62 users
• Senior Management - 15 users
• Also, we have 63 IP enabled security cameras, 30 IP phones and 60 IPs for tech savvy people who use their IP
enabled phones (iPhones, Android, etc.).
2. Also, Bruce Wayne in his secret identity has his own set of requirements for his private network known only to
Alfred, his trusted butler. His IP address requirement is based on the following:
o 17 night vision security cameras in his mansion
• 6 IPs for his vehicles (BatMobile, Jet Plane, etc.)
• 30 computers for monitoring different crime areas
• 5 IPs for secure communication with different police stations
Design considerations:
• Use 98.127.64.0 /22 for optimal IP address assignment.
Use a pie chart, spreadsheet or other tools to ease your calculations.
• The following blocks are reserved and cannot be used for IP address assignment as they are used to track his IP-
based RFID bats (do not reassign!):
• 98.127.66.128 /26
• 98.127.67.48 /28
• 98.127.67.128 /26
