Employees in the monitoring and control functions play the following roles:

- Accepting and following to the organization's different disciplinary policies, standards, and conventions so that all business operations are conducted fairly and honestly.
- Employees should do their utmost to follow the stated process or procedure so that no deviations or errors occur when doing tasks.
- Employees should not squander or misuse company resources.
- Employees should participate in the creation and implementation of strategies.
- Employees should provide accurate feedback on processes or activities so that higher-level supervisors may devise and implement appropriate remedial measures with ease.
- While performing operations, employees should be aware of and comprehend all needed standards so that they may make appropriate adjustments if the process deviates from its original route.
