Expert Solution
Step 1

The key attributes needed to learn to gain greater adaptation and resilience to minimise reality shock as a graduate nurse is to identify the factors that will be encountered by the students while learning are :

  • Inappropriate Treatment

Students have various difficulties while interacting with instructors, patients, and department employees in a clinical learning setting. Many students find that they had the most encounters with the instructors and that how an instructor approaches a student influences their experience in the clinical learning environment.

  • Discrimination

Students experience displeasure with a series of discriminatory practices they observed at the bedside. The most prejudice in the clinical setting was evident in nurses' attitudes toward students.

  •  Inadequate Knowledge

Many students lacked the necessary expertise to provide treatment at the bedside during interacting with clinical learning environments, and delivering care to patients was difficult for them.

  • Inadequate Practical Skills

The clinical setting is an ideal setting for developing the skills required to care for patients. Some of these, though, are regarded as core health care competencies, and any deficiencies in them have an effect on the quality of service. Due to a lack of necessary skills, pupils had difficulty executing procedures in several scenarios.

  • Communication Skills Aren't Fully Established

Many students' lack of communication skills causes an inability to engage in the clinical learning setting. Inadequately developed communication skills can occasionally cause disruptions in patient care.
