Schizophrenia is a mental disorder where an individual has mental inabilities which affects a persons capacity to think, feel behave normally. Schizophrenia causes a person to have delusion, hallucination, disorganized thinking and motor behavior. Schizophrenia is broadly classified into type I and type II.

Type I schizophrenia is accompanied by hallucination, delusion and formal thought disorder.
Whereas, type II schizophrenia exhibits symptoms of social withdrawal,poverty of speech and loss of volition.
Type II schizophrenia is associated with loss of drive and is also known as chronic schizophrenia.
In type II schizophrenia there is a reduction in range of emotional expression. There have been observed a reduction in intensity of emotional expression including tone of voice and facial expression as well.
Type II schizophrenia exhibits lessening speech fluency.
It also causes lessened participation in goal directed behaviour.
It causes emotional blunting, thought blockages and loss of normal functions.
It causes cell loss and structural changes in brain.
