Expert Solution

Step 1
The enzyme RuBisCO is the most abundant protein in the whole biosphere. It stands for Ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase oxygenase. It is the enzyme responsible for fixation of carbondioxide into sugars during the biosynthetic phase of photosynthesis. It catalyzes the first reaction of Calvin cycle i.e., carboxylation of CO2 with ribulose bisphosphate to give two molecules of 3-phosphoglyceric acid.
