- What is the difference between distributive and commutative justice?
Thomas Aquinas divided justice into two parts: Distributive and Commutative justice. Commutative justice comes into action exactly; they are related to a situation when one acts against the other. On the other hand, distributive justice is quite a vague type of justice. If someone violates the principles of distributive justice, then he is not liable for punishment. It's entirely indeterminate.
