What is deviant
Introduction
Deviance is explained as actions that go against societal expectations. Deviance is defined as the activities or behaviours that break conventional social norms or technically enforced rules in a social environment. The actions of deviance are frequently split into two varieties. The first one is a crime, which is defined as the breach of officially enacted laws, also known as formal deviance. Informal deviance is the second category of deviant behavior that involves breaches of unofficial societal expectations. Every society has its own understanding of what constitutes deviation, and these meanings vary greatly. For instance, some countries have far stricter gender norms than in the United States, some have less strict gender roles than others.
