A credential society is the one that views the credentials like certificates, degrees, etc. are essential for individuals to get employment opportunities in certain occupational sectors of the economic spectrum. This society treats these certifications and degrees like the one that proves or justifies the abilities and skills that are acquired by the individual who is suitable for performing the specific roles. For example, American society is a credential society, where the individual belonging to society has to produce certain certifications and degrees in the employment sector to prove their skill and ability to certify them as suitable for performing the specific roles.
