Non pharmaceutical interventions basically are the actions which are apart from getting vaccinated and taking the medications such as antiviral drugs. These medications can be taken by the people to reduce the spread of respiratory disorders for example Pandemic Flu. 

Flu can also termed as Influenza. 

Influenza or flu is known as the respiratory illness , which is caused by flu viruses that put the effect to the nose, lungs as well as throat. Flu mostly spreads by the droplets actions like coughing,  sneezing which contain Influenza viruses that spreads in the air and travel from contaminated person to the healthy one. 

It may also spread if infected person maintain close contact with healthy people like touching . 

Risk factors of seasonal flu - 

  • Age about 60 years or older
  • Children less than 5 years of age
  • Pregnant women
  • People with serious health problems like heart disorder, asthma and blood related disorders.
