Flexural Capacity:
It is the strength of any beam against transverse loads applied on them. It is given by 'EI', where 'E' is the Young's Modulus of the material and 'I' is the Area moment of Inertia of the beam cross-section.
As the Flexural capacity increases, beam becomes more rigid in turn enhancing its stiffness, so the amount of bending that occurs in the beam reduces, which means the slope and deflection of the elastic curve of the beam after load is applied, reduces.
