In any linear, bilateral 2-terminal network consists of linear impedance (resistance) and generators (sources)
can be replaced by an equivalent circuit of a single voltage source with series impedance (resistance). The
single voltage source is the open-circuit voltage between 2-terminal and series impedance (resistance) is the
equivalent impedance (resistance), while all sources replaced by their internal resistance by their ideal
condition i.e voltage sources short circuit and current source open circuit.
