Expert Solution
Step 1

The question is about sampling

Introduction :

Sampling with replacement :

It is a method in which unit / item may be sampled or selected in the sample again. There is prob. of selecting a item more than once

For example : A box contains 1 red balls, 2 white balls and 4 blue balls. Suppose, 2 balls are selected randomly. Let, first 1 red ball is selected then put that ball again in box and then again second ball is selected, so there is possibility of selecting a red ball again

Sampling without replacement :

It is a method in which unit / item may not be sample / selected more than once. There is only one chance to selected a item in the sample

For example :  A box contains 1 red balls, 2 white balls and 4 blue balls. Suppose, 2 balls are selected randomly. Let, first 1 red ball is selected then do not put that ball again in box and then second ball is selected other than red
