INTRODUCTION

Society is a place where there is a web of social interactions that regularly take place. This interaction is driven by several socio-economic factors that an individual is surrounded by. An individual in a society stratified based on race, culture, religion, caste, etc., sociology studies these all aspects of society and how they are attached to the human at different points of time, they change their identity depending on the location they are utilized.

EXPLANATION

Culture is the combination of symbols, values, beliefs, language, and artifacts that are part of society. Culture is unique in itself, which varies from one society to another society. Culture has two main components. The one which consists of the values, beliefs, symbols, on the one hand, is called the non-material culture. The culture, which consists of all aspects of the society like the physical objects, tools, technology, clothing, and means of transportation, etc., is called the material culture. Every culture is unique in its sense. For example, the western culture has belief and value systems that are different from those of non-western cultures. Culture is always a changing phenomenon. The additions to the material culture also affect the non-material aspects of a culture. Culture change opens new ways of living when new ideas enter a culture. For example, in the earlier societies, different societies are dominated by the traditional cultural values and beliefs and their unique way of food consumption, dressing, thought process. With the advent of modernization, there is a rapid spread of newly developed scientific advancements that have spread to different societies. Along with this, there is also a spread of the original society's cultural values of scientific advancements. Due to this, the societies that have accepted the scientific advancements have undergone cultural changes like the change in dressing habits, food consumption, thought process from traditional to rationalized, etc.
