Civic life is that sphere of the lives of the citizens which gets to form with other individuals through our actions, words, interaction, etc. Voting is an essential component of everyone's life as being a citizen. In a lively participatory society, it needs much more than enthusiastic voters. It requires committed citizens who are effective generators of the type of communities they want to exist in. Joining or engaging in social or political groups involves being notified about concerns, understanding the best purposes of others, & participating with fellow residents in civil & decisive ways.
