Democracy is an idea that has conquered the world and its is a system of government and a way of life which is widely accepted in the world. It extends the idea of popular sovereignty where the ultimate power resides with the people . But in some systems and regimes democracy can be fragile due to multiple reasons . Democracy could be fragile in the states where civil conflicts occur or it face challenges in manipulated democratic majorities etc. Emerging democracies often faces challenges in establishing democratic institutions and a real democratic system.
