The following are the factors that contribute to a place's urbanization:
1. Poverty and Employment Opportunities: Human needs are not being addressed in a state of poverty. There are people in every country who earn so little that they can't afford even the most basic necessities. Rapid economic growth and development generates a large number of work openings in and around cities. Urban areas pay more for employment. Poor rural residents often move to urban areas in search of better prospects for subsistence.
2. Modernization: Urban areas are distinguished by advanced technology, improved infrastructure, connectivity, and medical services, among other things. People move to urban areas because they believe they can live comfortably there.
3. Social Factors: Many social factors, such as the allure of cities, a higher and healthier standard of living, better educational opportunities, and a desire for prestige, all encourage people to move to cities.
