Post- conventional Morality is one of the concepts of Moral development theory given by Kohlberg. This theory focuses on the development of morals or ethics in individuals.
Specifically, mentioning about the post-conventional stage is the most advanced stage. It caters to the individuals choices or loyal commitment towards morals which are independently identified of their families or friends or culture. They do care about the human rights and follow their own principles of ethics. They rationally reason out. This stage starts out with the advent of adulthood.
The post-conventional stage can be marked when somebody is all set to make their own decisions and question the existing norms. They are independent and sustainable in their approach in life with more abstraction and less of tolerance regarding anything that is not serving them
