What are T or B Memory cells and plasma cells considered to be? Classify each as innate/adaptive immunity, cell mediated, both or neither.
Memory T cells are antigen experienced cells which mediate a faster and potent response against repeat encounter with antigen. These cells are called long lived cells. When these cells forms following an infection, they can protect against subsequent infections with the same pathogen by memorizing the antigen.
*Memory B cell is a type of B lymphocyte which is a part of adaptive immune system. These cells developed in the germinal centers of secondary lymphoid organs. These Memory B cells circulate in the blood stream in a quiescent state.
*Plasma cells are the differentiated B lymphocytes which are capable of secreting immunoglobulin or antibody. These cells are important in adaptive immune response i e , mainly in humoral immunity.
