Rainwater can occur with a certain frequency, the soil is infiltrated with this water, forming layers full of this material. Because of this, the presence of aquifers below ground level can be easy to occur. It is known that the soil is composed of heterogeneous layers, sometimes more permeable, sometimes less permeable. The water present can be above a permeable layer, below it or in both situations, as shown in the figure. There are two water levels (NA 1 and NA2) corresponding to different positions of the confined water along the terrain profile. It is desired that an engineer explain the situation presented and what phenomenon caused the water to spurt into well n° 3 but which did not occur in well n°1 and n°2.
