That means we have to find the slope of the above graph at t = 0 , 2 , 4 , 6 , 8.

If we draw a tangent line at t = 0 we get horizontal line y=0.

It has slope is 0

Therefore, at t =0 velocity is 0 miles per hour.

Thus, the airplane is at rest position when t = 0.
