part a. Build a function based on the data that you have.
In building the function you are using the month for xx (i.e. January = 1, February = 2, etc.)
To find the amplitude, use the halfway point between the minimum and maximum temperatures.
Then graph the function in DESMOS.
part b. Use the equation from Step 3 to estimate how many days per year the temperature is 50 degrees or higher.
Note: If your city never has an average temp that reaches 50 degrees or the average temperature is always above 50 degrees, please pick another temperature that is below the high, above the low, and not equal to the midline.
Assume a month has 30 days.
Solve this equation algebraically and then check to make sure it is consistent with your graph.
Don't round until the end of this process. Then give the number of days as a whole number (i.e. round 142.354 days to 142 days).
