Last year, after one of Shoppers' competitors introduced the concept of Online Shopping, the sales of "Shoppers" dropped dramatically. In fact, the concept of Online Shopping, based on the latest technology available, was very appreciated by customers. "Shoppers" decided to react quickly by using a new information system, accessed online and hosted by a leader in the online software services. This new system helped in reducing greatly the operational expenses (including the software cost since it is rented online and not purchased). With this new system, only 2 employees can monitor and control the inventory instead of 15. Also, they have reduced many other expenses by eliminating the errors of the ordering process and inventory management.
