Question

Three cards are dealt from a shuffled standard deck of playing cards.

What is the probability that the three cards dealt are, in order, an ace, a face card, and a 10?

Expert Solution
Step 1

GIVEN DATA : Three cards are dealt from a shuffled standard deck of cards.

TO FIND : Probability that the three cards are dealt are in order , an ace, a face card and a 10.

Total number of cards in the well shuffled standard deck of cards=52

Number of Ace in the card=4.

Probability of getting an ace card PA=452

Now, total number of cards is 52-1=51

Number of face cards F=12

Probability of getting a face card PF=1251

Number of cards left 52-1-1=50

Number of 10 cards T=4

Probability of getting 10's card PT=450
