The radar antenna is used to transmit the pulses of the radio waves that bounces off any of the object in its pat. A small part of the wave is transmitted back by the receiver that is at the same site of the antenna.

Step 2

The application of the antenna includes the measurement speed of the vehicle in the range of the radar. The radar antenna can measure the pointing direction as the echo is received from the object. This also includes the measurement of the azimuth and the elevation angle of the object, thus enhancing the object tracking.

The accuracy of the angle measured of the object in the range of the radar is obtained by directivity that is function depending on the size of the antenna.
