Theories and concepts: Recommendations for change In this section, I will be talking about the recommendations for the change. Regarding the damaged items, I can suggest that the stow department ensure that when they are stowing the items in the bins they are making sure the items are stowed correctly and not damaging other items and there should be a limit for the number of items which can be stowed into the bins.  When pickers pick the items and placing into their cages sometimes they can damage the items as well due to unstable stacking or stacking heavy products on top of fragile ones. To ensure they don’t damage the items; the pickers need to ensure that they placed the items correctly into their cages which will avoid packers to damage the items on the station and being sent out to get picked and the picker should also not exceed the limit for the number of items they can pick into their cage as pickers can pick the items exceeding the height limit. For hot pick items and missing cages, I recommend the process guide from the picking department must monitor the dwelling items which has not been sent out to the pick scanner. The process guide needs to ensure that they have sent out the items to the pickers scanner which will avoid more hot picks being sent out to the problem solver department. Also, the pick department needs to ensure that they chase the missing cages with the packing department to ensure if the department has received the cages or not yet and if they haven’t then they need to ensure they chase the cages and get them delivered to the packing department within the time so that the critical pool time items are packed and sent out the shipping on time. Refer to the theories to the recommendations for the above task:  1)Organizational culture 2)Barker’s notion of control through team-work 3)Theories of empowerment
