The project entails finding (papers or a web site on) some interesting topic in Parallel Computing & Distributed Systems (e.g., a Parallel/Distributed Programming Language, or Systems, or Algorithms, or Distributed/Parallel Systems Security, or Data Center Load Distribution ... etc) and writing 5 to 3 page note on it. The goal is to teach yourself (and us) something exciting in Parallel Computing & Distributed Systems, and to concisely communicate that. The note should draw the reader's attention to an interesting subject in Parallel or High Performance Computing & Distributed Systems. It should contain five sections: • A brief but complete description of the subject (Introduction). This description should be understandable on its own, i.e., without the need to read other papers or background material. • A short description of the technical details of the subject. • A brief explanation of the importance and impact of the subject -- why should anyone care. • A brief prediction of the future impact of the subject on Computer Science in particular, and society as a whole (Conclusions). • References. Submit a Report about the chosen topic of interest. Assignment Submission Guidelines 1. Report Submission deadline is on or before 22-January-2023 8:00 A.M 2. No Submissions are accepted after the deadline. 3. Submission is in my room B-043. 4. Multiple submissions are not accepted (Single Attempt), once you submit your assignment, you cannot resubmit again. Make sure it is complete before you submit. 5. You are not allowed to ask the lecturer about his opinion before the submission (except for the topic). Make sure to follow this document and your assignment should be good. 6. The report should not be more than 5 pages, and not less than 3 pages (font size 10). Report Format: Font Size (10), Font Type (Times New Roman), Line Spacing 1.5, bold for headings, References in numbering format, Name of the file should be labeled as the following: Your name; university number. 7. You should include some figures in your report (at least one). 8. Save the Report in Microsoft Word format.
