The name of states are what kind of measurement?
In statistics, the data is measured through four levels. The types of measurement are as follows:
Nominal Scale of measurement: The variable that is non-numeric in nature and is classified into at least two categories is inferred to be measured on a nominal scale.
The ordinal scale of measurement: The non-numeric variables, that are characterized in terms of order (or rank) may be inferred to be measured on an ordinal scale.
Interval scale of measurement: In this case, the numeric variables are measured on a quantitative scale, and the difference between two assumed variables is truly meaningful, i.e., the presence of absolute zero (0) is not arbitrary in nature.
Ratio scale of measurement: In this scale, the numerical variables are measured on a quantitative scale. However, the scale of measurement has an absolute zero (0) value.
