The first step is to identify a process inside an organization that may be improved. Please describe the differences between the DMAIC approach and the present modification process.

The DMAIC approach varies from traditional modification processes in numerous important respects. The former is a more directive approach to issue solving, whilst the latter is more adaptable.
The DMAIC approach is likewise better suited to large-scale modifications, whereas the current modification procedure is better suited to smaller, incremental changes.
Finally, the DMAIC technique is more data-driven, whereas the current procedure is more reliant on expert opinion and experience.
The DMAIC approach differs from the current modification procedure. The former detects a flaw in the process and then works to improve it.
The latter is a process application of the DMAIC approach. The current modification procedure does not detect a flaw.
