- Assume another planet is 10^8 million miles away from Earth. If an astronaut in the future can travel 10^5 million miles per week, about how many weeks would it take for her to reach the other planet?A boy cyclist and a girl cyclist are 10 miles apart and pedaling toward each other. The boy's rate is 6 miles per hour, and the girl's rate is 4 miles per hour. There is also a friendly fly zooming continuously back and forth from one bike to the other. If the fly's rate is 20 miles per hour, by the time the cyclists reach each other, how far does the fly fly?Need step by step please!
- Light travels from air into an optical fiber with an index of refraction of 1.44. (a) In which direction does the light bend? (b) If the angle of incidence on the end of the fiber is 22 degrees, what is the angle of refraction inside the fiber? *Rank in increasing order by placing the most negative on the left and the most positive on the right. To rank items as equivalent, overlap them.Considering that you would stop to rest for 10 hours after every 11 hours of driving, if you can average 55 mph, how many total hours will it take you to complete a 22,55 mile run?
- I'm having trouble completing the problem I've attached a picture of below. I was able to find the the Earth's average speed in m/s relative to the sun by doing (2pi*(1.49x10^11))/31536000. But I am struggling to find the average velocity for the same thing over a period of one year in m/s. I was wondering how to calculate that? I've tried doing the (final velocity-initial velocity)/2 but the program doesn't accept my answer when using that approach. So is final answer 1/2 or 1/4. I'm confused regarding your final answer.I need the answer as soon as possible
