Hello, my problem is attached.  So I know this is the identity of Tan(5pi/12 -pi/12) which equals tan(pi/3) which is sqrt3.  So question 1 - when given identities like this in this form, is the objective to put it back into the tan(A-B) form in order to solve?  

Question 2 is what if we put it into the expanded identity form (like attached) in order to solve?   Is it a legitimate operation to just subtract pi/12 from 5pi/12 in the numerator and find the tan of that?  and then how would we solve the bottom part of "1 + (tan5pi/12)(tanpi/12)?  You don't multiply 5pi/12 by pi/12 right?  So how would we figure out the value of the denominator?
