To find : P (X' ∪ Y) = ?  

The general probability addition rule for the union of two events states that ,

P(X∪Y)=P(X)+P(Y)−P(X∩Y)  

where X∩Y is the intersection of the two sets.    

Therefore , P (X∪Y) = 0.3 + 0.32 - 0.08 

                  P (X∪Y) = 0.54
