Expert Solution
Step 1

Blood pressure is the pressure applied by blood against the walls of arteries. The blood vessels that transport blood from the heart to the rest of your body are known as arteries. Your blood pressure normally rises and falls during the day.

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a condition in which the blood pressure is higher than normal. Depending on what you do, your blood pressure changes throughout the day. High blood pressure, often known as hypertension, is diagnosed when blood pressure measurements are consistently higher than normal.

The higher your blood pressure, the more likely you are to acquire other health problems such as cardiovascular disease, cardiac arrest, and stroke.
