Summarize in detail how plants can feed and reproduce?
Plant is the eukaryotic organism which comes under the kingdom Plantae. The study which deals with the plant life is called Botany and it is a branch of biology. There are two major groups of plants: vascular and non-vascular.
How plants feed:
Most of the plants produce food for themselves in the form of sugar through a process called photosynthesis. Plants produce food in their leaves. They contains a pigment called chlorophyll that is responsible for the green color of the leaf. This pigment is synthesizing food by making use of carbon-dioxide, water, nutrients and energy from sunlight. They feed themselves not only with the nutrients present in the soil and water but also uses energy from sunlight. The process of photosynthesis is quite complex through which they convert carbon-dioxide into carbohydrates (sugars) and oxygen with the help of water and energy. When the sun sets, they depend on starch which is stored to make it till the next morning.
