SUBTYPING AND STEREOTYPING OF BLACK MEN INDIVIDUAL BLACK MAN The Psychology Professor's father (a black man). Was it in the Deep South or a Southern state that used to be part of the Confederate States of America? Why did the white lady say such a horrible thing? Why did she follow the professor's father? Was it because she was concerned about the black man shoplifting something from the store? A negative stereotype about black men? Could someone explain to me why the white lady (skin type 1) pretty pale and fair skinned lady proceeded to call the black man "one of the nice ones" once she started talking to the professor's father? The psychology professor was s small biracial kid back then sometime during the early 1980s. This is a time when racism was more socially acceptable. Why did the white lady change her mind about this nice black man? Was it because he was well-behaved? Why did she proceeded to do subtyping? So, she still believes black men are super dangerous, but this black man with this white looking kid biracial kid is fine. He seems like a good and decent guy. How does that happen during a normal one hour conversation?
