Outline the steps of the steps in the production of insulin by bacteria.
INSULIN:- It is a pancreatic hormone secreted by beta cells and its main role is to absorb glucose from the blood, liver, and from the muscles for the body's proper functioning.
METHOD:- It is produced by using RDT (Recombinant DNA technology) in which they use plasmids for production.
VECTOR USED:- Vector is an artificial vehicle that carries the foreign genetic material and then they are inserted into the bacteria, then this bacteria is known as Transgenic bacteria where they have to express themselves.
Escherichia coli and Saccharomyces cerevisiae both are used majorly in recombinant DNA technology for the production of Insulin.
